100 Years of Camp Toccoa
For a century, Camp Toccoa has been a place where people gather, friendships take root, adventures unfold, and memories last a lifetime.
In 2027, we celebrate 100 years of Camp Toccoa — honoring the generations who have been part of its story and looking ahead to the generations still to come.
We’re just beginning to plan our Centennial celebration, and this page will grow as we do.
A Century of Memories
From the earliest days of Camp Toccoa to the adventures happening today, every generation has added something to the story.
Throughout the next year, we hope to reconnect with Camp Toccoa Alumni, find out where they are today, and hear their favorite stories and memories of camp. We’ll feature each Alumni Reconnection story in The WoHe Lo Wire, and right here on this page.

JESSICA FERGUSON RODRIGUEZ
Camp Toccoa has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first came to camp as a Camp Fire girl in 1993 (when I was 6 years old) and returned
every summer through 2003. I was a CIT in 2003 and 2004, then a counselor from 2005 through 2007, living in Omikse Cabin 4. I mostly lived at the pool during those years, working as a lifeguard and teaching swimming lessons.
You may remember me as Jessica FUUUUgerson—that’s how Steve Lang accidentally pronounced my name one year at Council Fire. After that, Camp Director Sue Edwards always called me that. Ha! She still does to this day!
Some of my favorite memories were made beneath the pines, along with friendships with some of the most important people still in my life today.
Today, I live in Bowdoinham, Maine, with my husband, Cory, and our son Oliver, and daughter Auri. I’m part of the team at Woggle Consulting, where I use my creativity and problem-solving skills to help businesses improve their systems and processes.
Life may take us in unexpected directions, but I still carry Camp Toccoa with me wherever I go. The Camp Toccoa magic really does stay with you.

SAVE THE YEAR
2027
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
The Centennial Committee held its kick-off meeting on October 20th, 2026. Many ideas were shared and several investigations are underway to narrow down the best plans to move forward with. We can’t wait to share those with you as we confirm them. Here’s what we’ve discussed so far!
TENTATIVE EVENT in Spring 2027: “Decades of Service” weekends at Camp Toccoa. We hope to organize decade specific weekends (for alumni who attended camp during that decade - as a camper, staff, or volunteer) to gather, re-connect with one another, and perform a service project to “give service” to camp!
TENTATIVE EVENT in Fall 2027: Camp Toccoa Homecoming Weekend! This would be a full weekend of celebrating Camp Toccoa’s birthday. All would be welcome, and the weekend would be full of activities, culminating in a very special Council Fire.
TENTATIVE EVENT: Art Show/Auction: This is where we need your help now! Are you an artist, or do you know a great one?! We would like to find alumni and/or friends of Camp interested in creating and donating a Camp Toccoa-themed piece of artwork, which would be displayed and auctioned off at an Art Show, proceeds to benefit Camp! All mediums of art are encouraged! This is an all-call for interested artists willing donate a piece of their art! If you would like to be part of this event, please contact Committee Chair, Jenn Hutchins, for more info! This event is contingent upon finding enough artists willing to donate their work!
Be Part of the Story
A hundred years of Camp Toccoa isn’t just a history. It’s thousands of stories.
Were you a camper? A counselor? A parent? A volunteer? Did you spend summers beneath the pines, attend a special event, or make a lifelong friendship at Camp Toccoa?
We want to hear from you.
