The Camp Fire Difference
Our Promise:
Camp Fire provides the opportunity for kids to find their spark, lift their voice and discover who they are.
What can you expect?
Inclusion: Camp Fire is open to each and every one of us
Participant-led: Youth have a real voice and a real choice
Immediacy: Camp Fire gets kids engaged now
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Camp Fire is the largest coeducational nonsectarian camp provider, operating more than 110 environmental and camp programs throughout the United States, and annually serving more than 34,000 school-age youth. Conservation and the interrelationships of all living things is a forefront of what we teach, while helping children learn to work in groups, make friends and build self-esteem.
Camp Fire’s emphasis on the outdoors and community helps youth dig deep inside and discover their sparks, their passions.
Helping a young person find and follow their sparks takes time and encouragement. At Camp Fire, that’s what we do. We listen, we encourage, and we provide the opportunity to uncover each young person’s unique interests. We help youth become the exceptional people they are destined to be, buoyant with potential to do anything they dream of doing.
“Everyone belongs at Camp Fire. I love how different kids with different backgrounds get to hang out and have fun together here!”
— Isla (9), overnight summer camper
